Nag!
Have you ever had a nag? Like, a reeeeeeeeeally persisting shadow of a memory at the back of your mind? Something that you desperately hope to find out?
I have lived with one such can-i-be-more-forgetful feeeling for the past 7-8 years. When I was 13-14 years old, I had a chance to read a wonderful book salvaged from a platform book-place in Gujarat. The tattered, stained, crumbling old novel(Don't remember its name or that of the author) was a very simple, first-hand account of a mother(don't remember her name) with few(don't know how many) kids and various incidents in their life (don't remember what). I cried copiously throughtout the read, and gave it back to the shop. And now that fragment of memory is killing me. I am still searching for it in google, wondering If i have passed it by! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I have one such nag. A nag of a friend who once said she would be friends with me forever and later asked me who I was. I got myself a different name and a different identity and creeped into the friends' life in secret. Only to find myself in her. A friend I once lost and like to have, yet can't afford to anymore.
Nag of a friend eh?! Thanks for the comment, i wish you would tell me who you are!:)
In your case you have defined your nag well. But so often I get nags of subjects I do not understand or know. A longing desire..of something in the past..or is it the future? I am clueless..Or is it an unknown drive..programmed in by the creator to differentiate us from zombies..to get us thru the ups and downs ( more of the latter)of life and say.. hey.. I want more..
I have had that too Santo! A sudden restlessness, making you 'want' to do something, but you don't know what! Very true!! Tht is equally frustrating!
Unknown unlamented shall I die,
Not a stone to tell where I lie
Aah! Alexander Pope! Nice! :)
was it a gujarati book? :)
hehehe....
